The Music Of The Night

For One Night Only, I'm presenting to you with All That Jazz. All I Ask Of You is that you remember Any Dream will Do.

Now Let's Send in the Clowns!

If you haven't guessed already, i'm going to be talking about a large aspect of my life Musical Theatre. This post is going to talk about the best musicals, best songs- all completely my opinion. I love musical theatre and a dream of mine has always been to go see a production on broadway and i would love to perform on the West End. So Without Further ado - On with the Show!

My Top Musicals:

5). Nightmare Before Christmas - it's one of my favourite films. i am obsessed with it, i know all the lyrics and all of the dialogue- i could recite the whole movie to you i swear. i would love to see this come to west end stage- i think it would be awesome!

4). Les Miserables-  Ahh a classic musical - i had to have one in my top five. i've always loved les miserables and the music from it however the reason it is not higher in my top five is because i find the songs tend to follow the same tone of music and finds it repeats itself quite a bit.

3). Rocky Horror Picture Show - i first watched this when i was five on dvd (bare in mind it's a 15) and i fell in love with it- granted i didn't really know what was going on until i watched a couple more times at the tender age of 5 haha. It's a great and versatile musical with very catchy tunes, party pieces no one can forget in a hurry and a rather interesting and peculiar storyline.

2).  Blues Brothers -  i first watched this when i was a little bubba and fell in love with the soundtrack- jazz, blues, gospel it's all in there. i watched my first production of this when i was three and was almost not allowed in because it's a 15 and the theatre staff thought i would cry or make a noise and not be able to watch it, little did they know i was standing up in the aisle, singing and dancing to all the songs!

1). Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat - I've watched every production of this musical since i was 3, i can recite it back to you - the whole musical. I used to play the video of the Donny Osmond version to death so much so my friend bought me the dvd version of it for my 18th - safe to say i've probably played that to death to! It's such a versatile musical, the music is never the same- there is rock and roll, country, pop etc and the story is easy to follow and a real family favourite.
