January Activities

Ello :)

I did some fun things in January and i thought for todays post i'd show you what i got up to in the blue month of January.

5th January - Mum's 60th Birthday

So the 5th january was my Mum's birthday and this year it was a big one the big 60. So in the morning Fran came round and mum opened her presents and we went out for brunch at Harriet's tea rooms along with my sister in law and did some shopping - to which i spent £80 in Lady B Loves and £20 in Superdrug on some sales items including Zoella's treasure me box - absolute bargain - i'll talk about my sales bargains in a later post :) Hayley, my sister-in- law, bought herself a £65 dress in Lady B Loves which was reduced to £25 - which she wore for our evening meal at The Oak Tree. The girls of the family all wore their Lady B dresses including me- i absolutely love my red velvety dress it's so snug. It was full of laughs, drinking and showing embarrassing photos of my mum thanks to snapchat filters although she had no idea i was showing those photos ;)

6th January- Enigma gig with Amy and Paige

I went dress shopping during the day with my friends Maddy, Megan, Lish and my sister Fran for my 21st party as i still hadn't got a dress and my theme is all hollywood style so i was desperately trying to find the most standout dress i could find safe to say we were all successful. Amy had messaged the groupchat saying that Jordan was performing that night at the Brickmakers and was wondering if any of us wanted to tag along - i thought to myself i would love to go see Amy and Jordan and the band play decent music that i like so i thought why not?! I had a good night full of Amy's fantastic dancing and singing talents ;), good music, great company and a good old gossip session - can't beat it.

7th January - Lish's 21st Celebrations - Afternoon Tea

Lish's 21st birthday was on the 8th January but she wanted to do something with her friends so she arranged for afternoon tea for all of the girls and her mum at Cafe Britannia, Norwich. It was a really nice afternoon tea - safe to say i don't like sandwiches so i was stuffing myself full of scones - which everyone has evidence of. Why does everyone take photos of me eating?! Why?! it was a relaxed atmosphere with some memorable speeches - mainly emma's as she tried to define the name Alicia, some good company, some decent photos, Amy's lovely rendition of Despacito and our lovely duet to Human by Rag`n`bone man and something different from the usual group meetup. I think people wanted me to do a speech but honestly i don't know what to say and i'm not as sentimental as maybe i should be- it was a good time and now i know i'm even closer to my 21st party!

12th January - A night out to the Waterfront (the first time)

I don't tend to go out clubbing/ drinking much because it's not really my thing but i was basically forced to by lish to go to the waterfront with some of our friends on the 12th January. We started off in Spoons where we talked, gossiped, laughed and danced. Then we headed to the Waterfront which i suppose you can say is more of a metal venue which is why it appealed to me, we got a free drink as we entered as it was for lish's birthday and started off dancing downstairs but honestly the music downstairs was shite so we decided to go upstairs which was definitely more my music we had the likes of Green Day, Sum 41, Limp Bizkit but then as soon as i was getting into the music and rapping to Limp bizkit someone initiated that we'd go downstairs again, honestly apart from them playing foo fighters, eminem, red hot chilli peppers and queen the music again was rather crap - i really wanted to stay upstairs as the music was better and it was less crowded. I've been to festivals before so i know how cramped places can get but you literally couldn't move without getting hit left right and centre and i just wanted to get out of there and i think a couple of people gathered i really wanted to stay upstairs. It was an alright night and i made the most out of a situation i didn't like - thank god the likes of Scott and Paige where there who literally seemed to groove to anything because if not i think i might have gotten bored and probably would have left as like i said the music downstairs was definitely not my thing. Thank god i've got my own playlist for my party! Overall it was a rather fun night spent with friends - i got back at around 4am, went to bed at about 5am and then didn't get up till 12pm on Saturday. I'd go again to the Waterfront sure but i'd be upstairs all night as that's where the  music was at that i enjoyed.

That's it for today!

See you next time,
S xoxo
