January Favourites

Ello :)

Back at it again with the favourites. Although i saw one of these at the end of December i thought it was best to put it in the January favourites as i'm obsessed with the soundtrack and have been this whole month!

The Greatest Showman

I watched this in December and it was absolutely adored it! it is fantastic and if you haven't already watched it in the cinemas i highly recommend you do. The music is addictive, i've been listening to the soundtrack ever since. It's classic musical meets modern music to me and i adore the soundtrack. My favourite track changes everytime i listen to it - currently it's "This Is Me" because it's such a powerful and moving song, i only wish this song was around in my darkest days because it's such an empowering song.

Britannia

This is a new series on Sky Atlantic about the Romans, Celts and Druids. Set in 43 AD, the Roman army returns to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia, a land ruled by warrior women and powerful druids - who say they can channel the Underworld. I've only seen a couple of episodes of this and i really enjoy it. It's historical, it's gruesome, it's emotional, it's humourous in parts and it's down right bloody. I basically like any sort of programme with magic and powerful people - i would say if you like the likes of game of thrones particularly in its early stages you would enjoy the likes of Britannia.

Velvet Vanilla Eau De Toilette by Tanya Burr

I bought this in the sale at Superdrug for £2.99 and was going to give it away to someone as a present but once i smelt it i just wanted it for myself! I love the sweet smell of vanilla with its subtle properties. for £2.99 it's amazing - it lasts ages and everyone always comments on how nice i smell when i wear it. Only 2 downfalls with it is, 1). it was a christmas product so you can't get it all year round or you can but for a hell of a lot of money and 2). there's not enough of it!!!

LadyLike

I've recently started watching more of buzzfeed online and one of my recommended posts as a channel called LadyLike so i thought i'd give it a go. I first watched a video called We Bought Formal Wear From Amazon mainly because i've got my 21st birthday coming up and although i have my dress now wanted at the time to explore the likes of amazon and other websites for formal gowns as there were some really pretty ones. As soon as i watched this video though i was glad to have bought mine and fitted mine on in a shop as although a couple were successful in their outfits, they had trouble with how it fitted and how it looked. After that i started watching more videos like wearing mesh inspired clothing and wearing instagram inspired makeup for a week because i found them entertaining.

Some honourable mentions this month are:

The End of the F**king world on Netflix  (a series about a boy who thinks he's a psychopath and going on the run with his peculiar girlfriend)
Caspar Lee - I need to be honest with you (a video where he describes that everyone has bad days, including him- no matter how happy someone thinks you are it doesn't mean you are happy)
Buzzfeed Unsolved True Crime - Jack the Ripper (An episode going in depth to the notorious serial killings of Jack the Ripper with 8 suspects)

That's it for today!

See you next time,

S xoxo
