Blogging Less: The Reasons Behind It

So some of you might be wondering why instead of fortnightly blog posts why you might just be getting blog posts now and again well im here to explain the reason why.

As you know i work two jobs, on is retail in a tea/coffee merchants and one is waitressing at my local football ground. At my retail job we recently received some news at the end of march that our supervisor had handed in his notice as he had been offered another job, which is fantastic for him but it stressed everyone out really as we were all unsure as to what was going to happen next and my manager unfortunately couldn't get a day off until he had someone he trusted to open and close and basically become a supervisor.

I asked my workplace ages ago once i finished my level two apprenticeship about the possibility of moving on to level 3; this was all very up in the air until my supervisor left. A few weeks ago i found out it was confirmed and i was able to do my level three but alongside it came another request. They asked me if i would also be the trainee supervisor and eventually become the supervisor and basically run the business when my manager is not in. I was delighted to receive the offer but also incredibly terrified and anxious as i still don't believe i have the confidence in myself in terms of being in charge, i mean i've actually been considering trying to get into counselling again or doing more mindfulness stuff, especially after last football game where my blood pressure skyrocketed and i had to leave my partner briefly to calm myself down before a panic attack.

As i am now the trainee supervisor, i will be doing more hours, having less time to myself especially with all the college work i'll be doing with my apprenticeship on the days off work give me. It also means i will be blogging less as i will struggle to find the time to blog and as well as that what actually devastated me the most is i want to be able to work my other job at the football ground as often as possible however because of my responsibilities of my other workplace i can't do as many matches next season. I absolutely love both of my jobs even though it can be stressful at times because i adore the people i work with - especially football we have a little family tree going on- and it upsets me i won't see the people i work with at football as much. But i also need to think of my future and i probably would have been rather annoyed if someone else who was there less time then me got offered the position so i'm grateful and glad i accepted it.

So i won't be blogging as much but i'll try as often and as regularly as i can.
See you next time,
S xoxo
