Mini Reviews!

That's Right they are back baby!! My mini review are here to stay!
Hello Friends.

So on my previous blog i did these posts called mini reviews which i wanted to bring back. Not everyone wants to read 3 page review on one episode on one tv show/ or movie and these mini reviews are a good way to still showcase opinion on certain shows/movies without having to bore people to death (well at least i hope not). I like writing long reviews and will do the occasional long review on this blog but i want to break it up a bit with some short paragraphs on recently viewed shows/ movies.

so let's begin...

1). Doctor Who series 10
Now as you guys probably know i am a whovian, i adore doctor who but i'll admit i never was a massive fan of Peter Capaldi's doctor i think it might be cos it seems like he's trying too hard to be cool however this series has actually been rather good so far, apart form the first episode which its main purpose is to basically introduce Bill (Pearl Mackie) as the doctor's new companion as it had a few similarities to the Water on Mars episode. This recent episode was dark, creepy and surprising which is everything doctor who is really so it's nice to see the writers go back to their roots. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series especially seeing John Simm's master come back i think it safe to say we all missed his reincarnation of the master- he is just too good.

2). Legion series 1
For a marvel series this was one fascinating show. it was fairly befuddling in the beginning as i was struggling to comprehend what reality was to what was david's mind but slowly throughout the series it became clearer as to which was which. Dan Stevens does an admirable job at portraying this rather confusing concept of a character. as i've stated in my previous post marvel vs dc im not a big fan of the marvel tv shows i find they lack drive and action whereas the dc shows bring so much intensity to the screen, however this is one exception - it was so intense i was desperate to find out what happened every episode. i give it a solid 8/10 :)

3). Riverdale series 1
i love love love this series! im not usually into these sort of programmes as they are very high school drama and that sort of thing annoys me but from the first episode i was hooked. the storyline is great and as i've read some of the comic the possibilities that could happen in the second series with the appearance of Jason Blossom's Zombie like appearance in front of Cheryl ... the comics suggest a zombie apocalypse so i suddenly became a lot more interested in the series because of its possibilities. the cast are fantastic and suit their role, i cant imagine someone else playing their characters. highly recommended series for those who have netflix... a must see.

4). IZombie series 3
I was hooked on IZombie as soon as it came to netflix, i like watching shows that have a sense of gruesomeness to them - with this it when the zombies can turn rabid or when you constantly see the concoctions that Liv makes out of brains. It also has a sense of sky's elementary to where its has a detective element to it and Liv helps Clive find out the criminals - but whereas Sherlock uses is intellect, liv uses the brain of the victim as it gives her visions. This series also has some rather sad moments concerning the cure for zombies and relationships breaking down. I think this show is so bloody good i give it a 10/10 :) (but this is just my opinion and bare in mind im into these sort of shows so im very biased ;) )

That's all for today folks,
hope you enjoyed reading my mini reviews!

See you next time,
S xoxo
