Obsessions :)

Hey Guys,

Today im going to talk about obsessions- we all have them whether it's a tv show, a musician, a celebrity or a hobby.
Everyone thinks our "obsessions" are crazy but it's just a way of nature we all have certain people we like more than others- i've had a lot of obsessions in the past as have many of my friends (Lish i'm looking at you here) they are always changing, one week i could be obsessed with Versailles the next i'm obsessed with Riverdale. There have only been 4 obsessions that have really stuck with me for a while so i thought i would tell you guys why i love these obsessions so much!

1). BTR

Now big time rush no longer exist they broke up a few years ago, the band consists of four guys Carlos PenaVega, James Maslow, Logan Henderson and Kendall Schmidt. But i still listen to their music basically everyday, i still own a big time rush pillow ;) and i love seeing what the guys are doing now i still love their music as individual artists as much as when they were a group. i think deep down im still kind of obsessed with them is because they helped me through a dark time in my life, their music brought me so much joy and still does it never fails to make me smile.

2). Colin Morgan

Everyone knew this was coming haha. He's my favourite actor and my biggest celebrity crush- i adore him. he's so humble and reserved and i admire that even with his career booming he still keeps himself grounded and doesn't let fame go to his head. I aspire to have his acting capabilities in my road to become an actress, i've never seen him give a bad performance and not many actors can make me feel emotions, can get to me, but he can - his acting capabilities are out of this world and i find he is underrated as an actor.

3). Shawn Mendes

Now this one is still relatively new with me but i'm like Colin Morgan level obsessed (to those who don't know me that is a very high level ;) ) I wasn't with him in the beginning i didn't really start liking him till early last year and i absolutely adore his music. He doesn't go around trying to fit stereotypical pop songs, which i know to most people they will probably argue against that as all the songs he has released are fitting into the stereotypical pop category. Actually if you were to listen to his albums especially illuminate he has more of a bluesy/soulful style to his music and his voice fits that genre very well. I listen to his music everyday - my favourite song is Don't Be A Fool - it's so soulful and beautiful - i will admit i actually teared up when i first heard it- everyone should give it a listen!! He also just seem like a genuinely nice guy who cares for his fans immensely - probably more than himself. And i'm happy to have become obsessed with his music because it makes me feel something - it makes me want to sing, dance, cry, smile and it's rare that music has that much have an impact on me.

4). Performing Arts

I've been dancing since i was 6 - i love dancing. I literally dance everywhere i go. I was always inspired by the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson when i was younger that i just decided to start dancing, I don't think my mum was entirely impressed when i picked street/hip hop at age 6 over the likes of ballet and modern. I've never been a big fan of contemporary and ballet, i just find it kind of boring to watch. I eventually started dancing ballroom and latin as well and have been dancing it for 10 years now - i love latin cos it closer to street/commercial over ballroom. If a song is on i will dance - depending on how good the song is of course i could jam to anything. Dance has always been a big part of my life and will continue to be for the rest of my life- when i was younger i hoped to become a choreographer/professional dancer but my dream changed to acting.

I always sing - life would be boring for me if i didn't sing haha. i don't sing professionally and in all fairness i have no idea whether im good at singing or not , no one has ever told me. i just sing for fun i've never thought about doing something about it like making a career out of it- who knows maybe one day i'll have the courage and show you what my singing is like.

Acting has been a passion for me ever since i was little. I always read Shakespeare and love his works (apart from Romeo and Juliet), i always love going to the theatre especially to see plays that are hard hitting and moving - although the majority of theatre i have seen is more of the comedy genre. I've never been good at being myself (public speaking) but i've never had trouble engrossing myself into characters. I wanted to become an actor since GCSE when i performed a play myself and my group in performing arts wrote called choice/chance which was about waiting in a purgatory and making the decision to move on in life rather than revelling in the past and i loved performing it; i realised that's what i want to do for my life, i want to make people feel something but i want to feel something aswell and acting is a great way to do that as you learn from the character.

So those are my 4 key obsessions!!
