Ello :)
On the 7/2/18 i went to see the Strictly Come Dancing live tour in Nottingham with my mum. my brother happily paid for my mum's ticket for her 60th birthday and paid for my ticket as part of my 21st as both are this year. We went on a day excursion coach with Eastons due to the fact my dad would struggle to get the time off to drive us all the way to Nottingham just to not go and see it - seems pointless to me.
The show was interesting, it was structured like the live shows you see on TV, where all 7 of the celebrity contestants (Gemma Atkinson, Jonnie Peacock, Susan Calahan, Joe McFadden, Debbie McGee, Davood Ghadami and Alexandra Burke) battled it out for the Glitterball trophy in which the audience decided the winner via text message. The contestants performed a couple of their favourite routines of the series.
Gemma and Aljaz - Paso Doble and American Smooth
Jonnie and Oti- Jive and American Smooth
Susan and Kevin- Samba and Quickstep
Alexandra and Gorka- Jive and Quickstep
Debbie and Giovanni- Salsa and American Smooth
Joe and Katya- Charleston and Argentine Tango
Davood and Nadiya - Charleston and Paso Doble
They were then scored from the judges; Craig, Bruno and Darcey. These were then combined to create a leaderboard, to which was no surprise to me to find Joe and Debbie at the top, and then we were given details on how to vote for our winner via text message - all proceeds went to sport relief and then Debbie was crowned our winner (should have been Joe). There were about 4 group numbers throughout the tour performance including the professionals game of thrones inspired performance and a medley of songs from sweet charity with the cast of the tour show. Ore Oduba, who was 2016 winner of Strictly, was the host and he was fantastic, he made us laugh and kept us thoroughly entertained.
It was a great show and i would love to go again next year- if the cast is good :)
I'm going to finish this post with some photos/videos from the day :)
